Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on August 9, 1976. She is the fourth child in the family. Audrey Tautou's parents, both dentists, and a school teacher, have encouraged and supported her from the beginning of her enthusiasm for theater and drama. Her initial dream to be a monkey expert was replaced by her ambition to learn about drama and theater. As a young woman, her rise to stardom was swift and accompanied by initial achievement. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in a French talent-scouting television program called Jeunes Premiers that was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning the journey to become an actor. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, and attended the Catholic Church as an infant. She has since moved away from her religious background. Tautou claims to be not officially Catholic. She has pursued a modeling career in addition to her acting work and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. As well as her acting career She also takes an interest in photography. She has recently displayed some of her photographs during Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. Her photography is focused on stars, fame and press that scrutinized her after her fame-making debut with Amelie. There are also a number of photographs featuring herself. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame when she landed her first major role starring as the lead in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international acclai box record and also received praise during awards ceremonies around the world. The movie is the most successful French language movie in the US. In the wake of this enormous success, Tautou went on to appear in a variety of films, which included British dramas, like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
